This Agreement explains the terms and conditions which apply to your use of the Self-Reliance Publications LLC Sites (defined below), including any subscription product, digital product, or service offered for sale by Self-Reliance Publications LLC and/or its affiliates (collectively, “Self-Reliance Publications LLC”). The right to use any product or service offered by Self-Reliance Publications LLC is personal to you and is not transferable to any other person or entity.
1. Definitions
The “Self-Reliance Publications LLC Sites” means all areas and any subscription or other paid products and services offered or available on the interactive online service operated by Self-Reliance Publications LLC on the World Wide Web, including www.self-reliance.com. The Self-Reliance Publications LLC Sites consist of information services and content provided by Self-Reliance Publications LLC, affiliates of Self-Reliance Publications LLC, and third parties.
The term “Comments Areas” means the comments sections on blog posts, articles, and other user-participatory areas on the Self-Reliance Publications LLC Sites where users may post content.
2. General
Self-Reliance Publications LLC has the right at any time to change or discontinue any aspect or feature of the Self-Reliance Publications LLC Sites including, but not limited to, the Comments Areas, content, hours of availability, and equipment needed for access or use. Such changes, modifications, additions, or deletions may be effective immediately upon notice thereof, which may be given by means including but not limited to posting on the Self-Reliance Publications LLC Sites a revised version of this Agreement or notification by electronic mail. Any use by you of the Self-Reliance Publications LLC Sites after such notice shall conclusively be deemed to be acceptance by you of such changes, modifications, additions, or deletions. You agree to review the terms and conditions of this Agreement periodically to be aware of such revisions.
3. Use of the Self-Reliance Publications LLC Sites and the Comments Areas
The Comments Areas shall be used for lawful purposes only. No material shall be posted on or transmitted through the Comments Areas which violates or infringes in any way upon the rights of others, which is unlawful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, vulgar, obscene, profane, indecent, or otherwise objectionable, which encourages conduct that would constitute a criminal offense, gives rise to civil liability, or otherwise violates any law. No conduct shall be undertaken that, in Self-Reliance Publications LLC’s judgment, restricts or inhibits any other user from using or enjoying the Comments Areas. Advertising or commercial solicitation may not be posted on or transmitted through the Comments Areas without Self-Reliance Publications LLC’s express prior approval.
The Self-Reliance Publications LLC Sites and the Comments Areas contain copyrighted material, trademarks, and other proprietary information including text, software, photos, video, graphics, music, and sound, and the entire contents of the Self-Reliance Publications LLC Sites are copyrighted as a collective work under the United States copyright laws. Self-Reliance Publications LLC is the owner of the copyright in the entire Self-Reliance Publications LLC Sites. Self-Reliance Publications LLC owns a copyright in the selection, coordination, arrangement, and enhancement of such content, as well as in the content original to it. Each third-party content provider owns the copyright in content original to it. You may not modify, publish, transmit, display, participate in the transfer or sale, create derivative works, or in any way exploit the content of the Self-Reliance Publications LLC Sites or any portion of it. Except as otherwise expressly permitted under copyright law, you may not copy, redistribute, publish, display, or commercially exploit any material from the Self-Reliance Publications LLC Sites without the express permission of Self-Reliance Publications LLC and the copyright owner. In the event of any permitted copying, redistribution, or publication of material from the Self-Reliance Publications LLC Sites, no changes in or deletion of author attribution, trademark, legend, or copyright notice shall be made. You acknowledge that you do not acquire any ownership rights by downloading copyrighted material.
You shall not upload, post, or otherwise make available on the Comments Areas any material protected by copyright, trademark, or other proprietary right without the express permission of the owner of the copyright, trademark, or other proprietary right. You are responsible for determining that such material is not protected by copyright, trademark, or other proprietary right. You shall be solely liable for any damages resulting from any infringement of copyright, trademark, or other proprietary right, or any other harm resulting from any uploading, posting, or submission.
You hereby grant to Self-Reliance Publications LLC and its respective affiliates a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, and display any content posted in the Comments Areas and/or any e-mail sent by you to Self-Reliance Publications LLC (in whole or in part) and/or to incorporate it in other works in any form, media, or technology now known or later developed.
You may not select or use a member name or e-mail address of another person with the intention of impersonating that person; use a member name or e-mail address of anyone else without authorization; use a member name in violation of the intellectual property rights of any person; or use a member name that Self-Reliance Publications LLC considers to be offensive.
You shall provide Self-Reliance Publications LLC with accurate, complete, and updated information provided by you at the time of registration.
The Self-Reliance Publications LLC Sites contain links to other websites, resources, and advertisers. Self-Reliance Publications LLC is not responsible for the availability of these external sites nor does it endorse or is it responsible for the contents, advertising, products, or other materials made available on or through such external sites. Under no circumstances shall Self-Reliance Publications LLC be held responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any loss or damage caused or alleged to have been caused to a user in connection with the use of or reliance on any content, goods, or services available on such external site. You should direct any concerns to such external site’s administrator or webmaster.
You shall be responsible for obtaining and maintaining all telephone, computer hardware, and other equipment needed for access to and use of the Self-Reliance Publications LLC Sites and Comments Areas and all charges related thereto.
The foregoing provisions of this section are for the benefit of Self-Reliance Publications LLC, its affiliates, third-party content providers, and licensors, and each shall have the right to assert and enforce such provisions directly on its own behalf.
Self-Reliance Publications LLC has carefully designed the Self-Reliance Publications LLC Sites with the purpose of delivering certain content to users in a particular format and with a particular appearance. No third party shall have the right to utilize the content of the Self-Reliance Publications LLC Sites in any way that interferes with that purpose. In particular, Self-Reliance Publications LLC prohibits any party from displaying the content on the Self-Reliance Publications LLC Sites in any format where third-party advertising or other materials that Self-Reliance Publications LLC did not authorize is viewed or viewable together with Self-Reliance Publications LLC’s proprietary content.
4. Monitoring
Self-Reliance Publications LLC has the right, but not the obligation, to monitor the content of the Comments Areas to determine compliance with this Agreement and any other operating rules that may be established by Self-Reliance Publications LLC from time to time. Self-Reliance Publications LLC shall have the right in its sole discretion to edit, refuse to post, or remove any material submitted to or posted on the Comments Areas. Without limiting the foregoing, Self-Reliance Publications LLC shall have the right, but not the obligation, to remove any material that Self-Reliance Publications LLC, in its sole discretion, finds to be in violation of the provisions hereof, otherwise objectionable, or stale. Notwithstanding this right of Self-Reliance Publications LLC, users shall remain solely responsible for the content of their messages. You acknowledge and agree that neither Self-Reliance Publications LLC nor any of its affiliates shall assume or have any liability for any action or inaction by Self-Reliance Publications LLC with respect to any conduct within the Comments Areas or any communication or posting on the Comments Areas.
5. Disclaimer of Warranty; Limitation of Liability
YOU EXPRESSLY AGREE THAT USE OF THE COMMENTS AREAS AND THE SELF-RELIANCE PUBLICATIONS LLC SITES IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. NEITHER SELF-RELIANCE PUBLICATIONS LLC, ITS AFFILIATES, NOR ANY OF THEIR RESPECTIVE EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, THIRD-PARTY CONTENT PROVIDERS, OR LICENSORS WARRANT THAT THE SELF-RELIANCE PUBLICATIONS LLC SITES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR FREE; NOR DO THEY MAKE ANY WARRANTY AS TO THE RESULTS THAT MAY BE OBTAINED FROM USE OF THE SELF-RELIANCE PUBLICATIONS LLC SITES OR AS TO THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR CONTENT OF ANY INFORMATION, SERVICE, OR PRODUCTS PROVIDED THROUGH THE SITES OR THE COMMENTS AREAS.
THE SELF-RELIANCE PUBLICATIONS LLC SITES AND THE COMMENTS AREAS ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS,” “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF TITLE OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OTHER THAN THOSE WARRANTIES WHICH ARE IMPLIED BY AND INCAPABLE OF EXCLUSION, RESTRICTION, OR MODIFICATION UNDER THE LAWS APPLICABLE TO THIS AGREEMENT.
THE DISCLAIMERS OF LIABILITY CONTAINED IN THIS SECTION APPLY TO ANY DAMAGES OR INJURY CAUSED BY ANY FAILURE OF PERFORMANCE, ERROR, OMISSION, INTERRUPTION, DELETION, DEFECT, DELAY IN OPERATION OR TRANSMISSION, COMPUTER VIRUS, COMMUNICATION LINE FAILURE, THEFT OR DESTRUCTION OR UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO, ALTERATION OF, OR USE OF RECORD, WHETHER FOR BREACH OF CONTRACT, TORTIOUS BEHAVIOR, NEGLIGENCE, OR UNDER ANY OTHER CAUSE OF ACTION. YOU SPECIFICALLY ACKNOWLEDGE THAT SELF-RELIANCE PUBLICATIONS LLC IS NOT LIABLE FOR THE DEFAMATORY, OFFENSIVE, OR ILLEGAL CONDUCT OF OTHER USERS OR THIRD PARTIES AND THAT THE RISK OF INJURY FROM THE FOREGOING RESTS ENTIRELY WITH YOU.
IN NO EVENT WILL SELF-RELIANCE PUBLICATIONS LLC OR ANY PERSON OR ENTITY INVOLVED IN CREATING, PRODUCING, OR DISTRIBUTING THE SELF-RELIANCE PUBLICATIONS LLC SITES BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SELF-RELIANCE PUBLICATIONS LLC SITES OR OUT OF THE BREACH OF ANY WARRANTY. YOU HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION SHALL APPLY TO ALL CONTENT ON THE SELF-RELIANCE PUBLICATIONS LLC SITES AND/OR THE COMMENTS AREAS. SELF-RELIANCE PUBLICATIONS LLC’S LIABILITY TO USERS, IF ANY, SHALL IN NO EVENT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO SELF-RELIANCE PUBLICATIONS LLC IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
SELF-RELIANCE PUBLICATIONS LLC NEITHER ENDORSES NOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF ANY OPINION, ADVICE, OR STATEMENT ON THE SELF-RELIANCE PUBLICATIONS LLC SITES, NOR FOR ANY OFFENSIVE, DEFAMATORY, OR OBSCENE POSTING MADE ON THE COMMENTS AREAS BY ANYONE OTHER THAN AUTHORIZED SELF-RELIANCE PUBLICATIONS LLC EMPLOYEE SPOKESPERSONS WHILE ACTING IN THEIR OFFICIAL CAPACITIES. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL SELF-RELIANCE PUBLICATIONS LLC BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE CAUSED BY YOUR RELIANCE ON INFORMATION OBTAINED THROUGH EITHER THE CONTENT ON THE SELF-RELIANCE PUBLICATIONS LLC SITES AND/OR ANY POSTINGS ON THE COMMENTS AREAS. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO EVALUATE THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR USEFULNESS OF ANY INFORMATION, OPINION, ADVICE, OR OTHER CONTENT AVAILABLE THROUGH THE SELF-RELIANCE PUBLICATIONS LLC SITES AND/OR THE COMMENTS AREAS. PLEASE SEEK THE ADVICE OF PROFESSIONALS, AS APPROPRIATE, REGARDING THE EVALUATION OF ANY SPECIFIC INFORMATION, OPINION, ADVICE, OR OTHER CONTENT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO FINANCIAL, HEALTH, OR LIFESTYLE INFORMATION, OPINION, ADVICE, OR OTHER CONTENT.
OTHER THAN ITS OWN PRODUCTS, SELF-RELIANCE PUBLICATIONS LLC DOES NOT ENDORSE, WARRANT, OR GUARANTEE ANY PRODUCTS OR SERVICES OFFERED THROUGH THE SELF-RELIANCE PUBLICATIONS LLC SITES AND WILL NOT BE A PARTY TO OR IN ANY WAY MONITOR ANY TRANSACTION BETWEEN USERS AND THIRD-PARTY PROVIDERS OF PRODUCTS OR SERVICES. AS WITH THE PURCHASE OF A PRODUCT OR SERVICE THROUGH ANY MEDIUM OR IN ANY ENVIRONMENT, YOU SHOULD USE YOUR BEST JUDGMENT AND EXERCISE CAUTION WHERE APPROPRIATE. SELF-RELIANCE PUBLICATIONS LLC MAKES PRODUCTS OR SERVICES AVAILABLE ON THE SELF-RELIANCE PUBLICATIONS LLC SITES WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF TITLE OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OTHER THAN THOSE WARRANTIES WHICH ARE IMPLIED BY AND INCAPABLE OF EXCLUSION, RESTRICTION, OR MODIFICATION UNDER THE LAWS APPLICABLE TO THIS AGREEMENT.
SELF-RELIANCE MAGAZINE AND THE SELF-RELIANCE PUBLICATIONS LLC SITES PUBLISH EDUCATIONAL AND INFORMATIONAL CONTENT RELATED TO HOMESTEADING, BUILDING, FOOD PRESERVATION, ENERGY SYSTEMS, FIREARMS, ANIMAL HUSBANDRY, AND OTHER PRACTICAL SKILLS. THIS CONTENT IS PROVIDED FOR GENERAL INFORMATIONAL AND EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. MANY OF THE ACTIVITIES DESCRIBED IN OUR ARTICLES, BLOGS, AND PUBLICATIONS — INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO CONSTRUCTION, ELECTRICAL WORK, CHAINSAW USE, FOOD CANNING AND PRESERVATION, FIREARMS HANDLING, WORKING WITH LIVESTOCK, AND USE OF TOOLS AND MACHINERY — CARRY INHERENT RISKS OF PERSONAL INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR DEATH. SELF-RELIANCE PUBLICATIONS LLC, ITS AUTHORS, EDITORS, AND CONTRIBUTORS ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INJURY, LOSS, OR DAMAGE OF ANY KIND ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF ANY INFORMATION, INSTRUCTIONS, TECHNIQUES, OR RECOMMENDATIONS PUBLISHED ON THE SELF-RELIANCE PUBLICATIONS LLC SITES OR IN SELF-RELIANCE MAGAZINE. ALWAYS OBSERVE APPLICABLE LAWS, BUILDING CODES, AND SAFETY REGULATIONS. CONSULT QUALIFIED PROFESSIONALS BEFORE UNDERTAKING ANY PROJECT THAT IS BEYOND YOUR SKILL LEVEL OR THAT INVOLVES RISK TO HEALTH OR SAFETY.
6. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Self-Reliance Publications LLC, its affiliates, and their respective directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against all claims and expenses, including attorneys’ fees, arising out of the use by you of the Self-Reliance Publications LLC Sites and/or the Comments Areas.
7. Termination
Self-Reliance Publications LLC shall have the right to immediately terminate this Agreement with respect to any user which Self-Reliance Publications LLC, in its sole discretion, considers to be unacceptable, or in the event of any breach by you of this Agreement. The provisions of Sections 5, 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, and 15 shall survive termination of this Agreement.
8. Trademarks
All trademarks appearing on the Self-Reliance Publications LLC Sites are the property of their respective owners.
9. Subscription Services; Products; Digital Content
9(a) Subscription Services
Self-Reliance Publications LLC makes available to users certain subscription services (both free and paid), and other paid services and products. The following terms and conditions shall apply in the event that you subscribe to any subscription service or services offered by Self-Reliance Publications LLC on the Self-Reliance Publications LLC Sites (the “Subscription”).
Subscription Terms. We offer subscriptions on annual, multi-year, and introductory trial terms. Introductory trial subscriptions (such as three-month trials) will convert to annual auto-renewal subscriptions at the then-current annual rate upon expiration of the trial period unless you cancel before the trial period ends.
Auto-Renewal. Unless you cancel, your Subscription will automatically renew at the end of each subscription term for an annual term at the then-current rate. You authorize Self-Reliance Publications LLC to charge the payment method designated during the registration or checkout process for each renewal term. We will send you a reminder notice before your Subscription renews, informing you of the upcoming charge and the renewal rate. If you accepted an offer that included a free or discounted trial period, your payment method will not be charged the full subscription rate until after the end of the trial period. You may cancel auto-renewal at any time through your account page at www.self-reliance.com/my-account/subscriptions/, by emailing customer-service@self-reliance.com, or by calling 541-250-5134 (Monday–Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM PST). Cancellation of auto-renewal will take effect at the end of your current paid term — you will continue to have access through the remainder of the period you have already paid for.
Payment. You authorize Self-Reliance Publications LLC to charge your designated payment method (credit card, PayPal, or other accepted method) for the fees associated with your Subscription. You are responsible for any charges associated with connecting to the Self-Reliance Publications LLC Sites, including but not limited to any internet access provider charges. You shall provide Self-Reliance Publications LLC with accurate, complete, and updated payment and contact information. Failure to do so shall constitute a breach of this Agreement.
Changed Terms. Self-Reliance Publications LLC shall have the right at any time to change its fees and billing methods, or other terms and conditions applicable to your use of the Subscription, or to impose new terms and conditions. Such changes shall be effective upon notice, which may be given by means including, but not limited to, posting on the Self-Reliance Publications LLC Sites a revised version of this Agreement or notification by electronic or conventional mail. If any such change is unacceptable to you, you may terminate your Subscription as provided above. Any continued use of the Subscription by you after such notice shall conclusively be deemed to constitute acceptance by you of such changes. You may also be subject to additional terms and conditions imposed by third-party content providers in connection with third-party content, software, or services.
Termination. Either you or Self-Reliance Publications LLC may terminate this Agreement at any time. Your only right with respect to any dissatisfaction with any terms and conditions of this Agreement, or any policy or practice of Self-Reliance Publications LLC in operating the Self-Reliance Publications LLC Sites, content available through the Subscription or any change therein, or the amount or type of fees or billing methods or any change therein, is to terminate this Agreement by contacting us at: Self-Reliance Publications LLC, P.O. Box 308, Philomath, OR 97370; by e-mail sent to customer-service@self-reliance.com; or by calling 541-250-5134.
Notice of termination will be effective upon receipt by Self-Reliance Publications LLC. Without limiting the foregoing, Self-Reliance Publications LLC shall have the right to immediately terminate this Agreement with respect to any user which Self-Reliance Publications LLC, in its sole discretion, considers to be unacceptable, or in the event of any breach by you of this Agreement. The provisions of Sections 5, 6, 7, 8, this Section 9, 13, 14, and 15 shall survive termination of this Agreement.
Refunds. Fees paid for any Subscription are paid in advance and are generally not refundable in whole or in part, provided, however, that in the event of termination by Self-Reliance Publications LLC for any reason other than breach of this Agreement by you, or termination by you in accordance with this Agreement in which you identify the termination as resulting from changed terms, Self-Reliance Publications LLC shall make a pro rata refund to you.
Print Subscription Delivery. Print subscriptions are delivered via the United States Postal Service. Please allow 4 to 8 weeks from the date of your order for your first issue to arrive. It is your responsibility to keep your mailing address current; you may update your address through your account page or by contacting customer service. If an issue is lost or damaged in the mail, contact us and we will send a replacement copy at no additional charge.
9(b) Digital Products and E-Magazine Downloads
Self-Reliance Publications LLC offers digital products for purchase, including electronic magazine downloads (e-magazines) and other digital content. When you purchase a digital product, you are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access and use the digital content for your own private, non-commercial use. You may not redistribute, resell, copy, share, or make available to any third party any digital content purchased from the Self-Reliance Publications LLC Sites. Digital products are delivered electronically through your account and are available for download after purchase. Due to the nature of digital delivery, all sales of digital products are final and non-refundable once the content has been made available for download, except as required by applicable law.
9(c) Physical Products and Other Services
With respect to physical products and services offered for sale by Self-Reliance Publications LLC and third parties on or through the Self-Reliance Publications LLC Sites: you shall be informed of all terms of the offer, including but not limited to pricing, methods of payment, shipping and handling, sales tax, return and refund policies, and applicable privacy policies on the screen where you make the purchase.
10. SMS / Text Messaging
By providing your phone number at checkout or opting in to receive text messages, you agree to receive transactional and/or marketing text messages from Self-Reliance Publications LLC as described in our Privacy Policy. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for assistance. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
11. Privacy Policy
Your use of the Self-Reliance Publications LLC Sites is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and share your personal information. By using the Self-Reliance Publications LLC Sites, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the terms of the Privacy Policy.
12. Reader Submissions and Letters
When you send us letters, emails, questions (including through the “Ask Jackie a Question” feature), comments, or other written communications, you grant Self-Reliance Publications LLC the right to publish your submission, in whole or in part, in Self-Reliance Magazine (print or digital editions) and/or on the Self-Reliance Publications LLC Sites. If we publish your submission, we may include your name, city or town, and state or province (and country, if outside the United States). If you do not wish your submission to be published, or do not wish your name or location to be included, please state this clearly at the beginning of your communication.
13. Copyright Agent
We respect the intellectual property rights of others, and require that the people who use the Self-Reliance Publications LLC Sites, or the services or features made available on or through the Self-Reliance Publications LLC Sites, do the same. If you believe that your work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please forward the following information to Self-Reliance Publications LLC’s Copyright Agent, designated as such pursuant to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(2), named below:
- Your address, telephone number, and e-mail address
- A description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed
- A description of where the alleged infringing material is located
- A statement by you that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- An electronic or physical signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright interest
- A statement by you made under penalty of perjury, that the above information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the copyright owner’s behalf

14. Dispute Resolution
Informal Resolution. Before initiating any formal dispute proceeding, you agree to first contact us at customer-service@self-reliance.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least thirty (30) days.
Binding Arbitration. If we are unable to resolve a dispute informally, any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to this Agreement or the Self-Reliance Publications LLC Sites shall be settled by binding arbitration administered in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall be conducted in Benton County, Oregon. The arbitrator’s decision shall be final and binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction. Each party shall bear its own costs and attorneys’ fees in any arbitration, unless the arbitrator determines otherwise.
Class Action Waiver. You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted on an individual basis only, and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against Self-Reliance Publications LLC.
Exceptions. Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may bring an individual action in small claims court for disputes within the court’s jurisdictional limits. Nothing in this section shall prevent Self-Reliance Publications LLC from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property rights.
15. Miscellaneous
This Agreement and any operating rules for the Self-Reliance Publications LLC Sites and the Comments Areas established by Self-Reliance Publications LLC constitute the entire agreement of the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof, and supersede all previous written or oral agreements between the parties with respect to such subject matter. This Agreement shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. If any provision of this Agreement is found by a court or arbitrator of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining provisions of this Agreement shall remain in full force and effect. No waiver by either party of any breach or default hereunder shall be deemed to be a waiver of any preceding or subsequent breach or default. The section headings used herein are for convenience only and shall not be given any legal import.
